Introduction

My name is Michael Payne, and I have recently graduated from ITT Technical Institute with a Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems Security. Unfortunately, I have no job-related experience in IT, and haven't been able to find a job in the field. (I am employed, however.) I also have just over $23,000 in school loans, and a $9,000 car loan.

I'm still living with my mom, which means I have no rent or anything, but when I'm making $600 to $700 per month, and my bills (car insurance, car payment, and minimum school loan payment) total over $550, there's not a lot of extra money to put toward debt reduction.

    Mike, I had a rough time after college myself. I kept my resume up to date and I worked evenings while job hunting during the day. It sure can be rough. I bartended, did moving jobs, stocked shelves in a grocery store, in short I did what I had to do to get ahead.

    Believe in yourself and set goals. You can and will be what you want to be if you dedicate yourself to it and don't take no for an answer! I know it sounds easy for me to give advice but I have been where you are and I know the feeling! The boards here have tons of ways to save money and live in a frugal fashion!

    In closing let me say WELCOME!! I hope we can help you on the journey!!!
